Is there a way to change an Access .ldb file to a .mdb file?

No.

LDB files are locking files associated with Access databases. All they
contain are details about users and what data they're accessing.

Perhaps if you use the big white space to explain your situation (rather
than just putting a Subject line), someone can offer a suggestion.
