Is there a way to have the start and finish date fields be blank

I'm created a new project and I would like to have the project Start date,
Finish Date , annd duration fields print out blank or with the characters
"TBD" in them. I want this so I can send the printout to the various subject
matter experts for the task to fill in the blank or TBD fields.
How can I do this?

As such, you can't.
You could create a custom text field with a formula: equal to start except
when start equals the project start in which case blank..
