Is there a way to hide the numbered tags on animation editing scre

When I edit my slide animations, I don't want to see the tags that number the
various slide elements that have animation effects associated with them. It
creates clutter and makes selecting elements for further animation affects
difficult.

Is there a way to hide these tags?

Dear CM,

These tags will always appear when you have the Custom Animation Task Pane
open. However, in PowerPoint 2007 you can use the Selection Pane to hide
objects on your slide that are getting in your way, so to speak.

Thank you. So the answer to my question is "no." I know I can use the
selection pane, but going back and forth between the selection pane and the
animation pane is annoying. I don't need those tags for anything. They just
clutter the display, in my opinion.

Thanks again.

Unrelated question, but is there a way to precisely place the destination of
screen elements that you move with Motion Paths? I have text that I want to
move into precisely the same location as text that I am fading out of the
slide.

Thanks, Sandy.

Please start a new thread for unrelated questions. It is easier to find for
you, for us and for others searching for help.

I use the guides to exactly place animated objects. (View - Grid and
Guides). Place a horizontal and a vertical guide so that they intersect in
the middle of the object to be faded out. Drag the end of the motion path to
this intersection.

Best regards,
Ute

Thanks. Will do, but time is of the essence for me right now.

The motion paths (particularly when moving a block of text elements) seem to
be inherently imprecise. When I get time, I'll try your use of guidelines.

Thank you.

CM,

You can place the text where you want it to end, right click on the text
then reverse the path.

Regarding guides, make sure you use Snap to Grid. That will help with the
preciseness (if that's a word).
