Is there a way to import an import spec?

Ben

Hi all,

I would like to know if there's a way to import an import spec from
another mdb instead of re-creating it from scratch because it is a long
list. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Yes, it is an option when importing.

File: Get External Data: Import
and on the import dialog press the options button and check
Import/Export Specs

Unfortunately it is an all or nothing option, so if you have many
specifications they will all be imported.

yes. open the db you want to import *into*. start the Import dialog,
navigating to the db that has the specification you want, and click the
Options button near the bottom right side of the dialog. when the additional
options drop down, look at the Import group of options on the left side, and
checkmark *only* the Import/Export Specs checkbox. then click the OK button.
