In my former Windows 2000 have I worked out and saved a lot of images in the
Photodraw .mix extension. On my new PC I have WindowsXP Pro installation. Now
want to open the images for editing and/or printing and find out that I can't
converse the images to an other extension. I installed Photodraw in Office,
but as soon as I want to open an image, Photodraw crashes. I tryed to find
converion posibillities, but seams realy impossible for me.
Please is there somebody who can help me out?

Hi André

You may want to also post in the MS Photodraw newsgroup
as well (link below).

Depending on whether you have Photodraw 2000 v1 or Photodraw 2000 v2
you may have different chances of success with it in Windows XP.
If you create a shortcut to the Photodrw.exe file and then right
click on the properties and use the compatability setting
to try running as Windows 98 or 2000.

Hi Bob,

Your suggestion worked! I will thank you for this hint. Now I can work out
further and/or converse the images to *.jpg or other.
I got two other little inconveniences now.
1st. When I save an image into .jpg or .bmp (maybe also in other extensions)
the image gets in the saving window only the first character of the existing
name. Changing that character into the full name by hand is impossible.
Changing the name after the saving works, but takes rather much time.
2nd. When I change the name of the image the extension name will be doubled
"like this: *.jpg.jpg or *.bmp.bmp". If there is a suggestion available for
this inconvenience I would be pleased, but if not I can live with it for the
time being.
Thanks for the help.
With kindest regards, André of Brabant
