Is there a way to make triple spacing?

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Is there a way to make triple spacing? I have tried under formatting and styles, and there are only icons up to double line spacing. Is there a way to make a customization or something?

Did you miss the drop-down that enables you to select "Multiple"

Format>Style>Modify>Format>Paragraph>Line Spacing and choose "multiple"
then specify "3" (which just happens to be the default).

By the way: you need to close that stupid "Toolbox" or "Formatting Palette".
That's for kiddies doing school projects. If you want to get control of
Word, close it and use the menus: you will do a little more clicking but you
get to do anything you want...

The down-side, of course, is that in the menus Word makes the assumption
that you know what you are doing, which occasionally embarrasses me

Line Spacing can be set to just about any value you wish, but you aren't
dealing with a typewriter any more. Single, 1.5 & double are throwbacks to
another era & triple spacing is very uncommon. However, if you want to do
something like that you need to do the math

Line Spacing is actually predicated on the typesetting measurement called
"Leading" which -- for single spaced -- is most commonly 120% of the font
size being used, so triple spaced would be 360% of the font size. Enter that
value in the Line Spacing field in Format> Paragraph - Indents & Spacing
after selecting "At Least" from that list. [i.e., set the line spacing for
12 pt type to 36 pts., for 10 pt type 30 pts., etc.]

Also, this is a paragraph formatting attribute so as with all formatting it
is best applied by being a part of a custom Paragraph Style's definition
rather than applying it directly.
