Is there a way to open a .docx file created with 2007 using 2003?

If someone sent you a .docx Word file could it be opened using Office 2003?
I've read that there is a compatability download available, but I can't find
it on the Microsoft Office website. Does anyone know what this download is or
if it even exists? I found the download to save 2007 documents as 97-2003
compatible, but not to make 2003 compatible with .docx.

You should be able to save it down as a .doc file and open that into word.

The file originator should be smacked for not asking you if you needed that
file sent as an older format.
