Is there a way to password protect a file folder?

I would like to password protect a file containing different file types. I
want to password protect the file folder so that I can just unlock the folder
as opposed to each individual file - there are over 50 in the folder, and I
need to protect all of them. Is there a work around to protecting each
individual file, as in password protecting the file folder?

Thanks in advance!

Short answer No, long answer is that you can buy something that says it can
but I have never used these methods. If you adhere to login off and on and
you are using Win XP Pro then you can encrypt the folders, you can also
assign permissions to folders if you are using NTFS but it does rely on the
log off method.

Figures...Nothing is ever easy ;)

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I guess I'll just have to
protect all the files individually.

Thanks!

See? Now, why didn't I think of that? That's a whole lot easier than
protecting each file on its own. Thanks! Greatly appreciated!
