Is there a way to set how task resources report their status?

We are using Project Server to allow people to update their task progress.
One project plan allows users to update % complete or remaining work. Another
only allows actual work or remaining work.

Can someone tell me how that setting is established? I would like to change
to one to allow % complete update by the task resource. Thanks - David

I would carefully study why you would want to have different reporting
methods for team members but be sure to thoroughly training team
members. You must also be a Non-managed Time Period environment to use
any of the three tracking methods. So be sure you are NOT in Managed
Time Period enviornment.

Your Project Server Admin can chang the reporting method Project
Managers use.

Access PWA Admin Page with these rights.
Admin>Customize Project Web Access
Under the Lock down default select: Allow project managers to change
the default method for reporting progress if a different method is
appropriate for a specific project.

Each Project manager will set 1 of 3 tracking methods with Project
Professional:
Tools>Options>Schedule then go to the Scheduling options
