Is there a way to use the "Cell Style" optionthe same way you can use it on PC?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) I am in a comp class in college and the book is written for PC user only not for macs. I see that in Mac's version of Excel there is a pop out tool bar "Formatting Plate" and @ the bottom of it there is a section labeled "Document Theme" I believe this is what I am looking for, however there is only a select few, and the options are not laid out like they are on a PC.
Is there something that I'm just not seeing?? It would be EXTREMELY disappointing if Mac's don't offer more cell styles/document themes

PLEASE HELP
...Hope I wasn't too confusing lol

Document Themes are not as fully implemented in Mac Office 2008 as they are
in Windows Office 2007. Quite frankly, most serious users of the software
consider that a blessing :) However, that argument isn't the point.

The main question is "What is the actual class you are taking?".

If it is a class specifically on MS Office 2007 then you will need to use
that specific version of the software to complete many of your
assignments... Nowhere is it written that Win Office & Mac Office are
identical. "Compatible" doesn't guarantee exact feature parity.

OTOH, if the class is not specifically on MS Office 2007 the courseware
should not impose the use of features exclusive to that one specific
software package ‹ there is no other software available for Mac or Windows
which includes the same exact feature set. Perhaps a conversation with the
instructor would be in order if you weren't expressly informed that Office
2007 was *required*.
