hi All,
Does anyone know if there a way to view notes (and
objects) for a task in full-width view in Microsoft
Project?

To create a bottom pane that shows
the "Task Form" for a the task selected in the current
view in the top pane, , typically what I do is select the menu item
"Window | Split" (creates two panes one on the top and the other on the
bottom) Then I select the menu item:

"Format | Details.. | Notes " or
"Format | Details.. | Object "

to display more information about a given task that I
have entered. What is puzzling me is that the task
form is really narrow and cannot be resized using the
regular GUI controls. The top pane is full width of the MS Project window,
while the bottom one is not:

<-------------- nice ,wide task entry view -------->
<-- narrow task form -><- Blank, unused space ----->

I would like to widen the task form so I can see my
task details more readily (and so it is the same width
as the task entry panel above it). The blank unused
space just a waste and when I have a lot of data
stored for a task then I have to scroll or the data
wraps .
(I am using MS project 2003).

Thanks for considering this question about whether it
is possible to widen the task form in the split window
view.

Hi ?,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

To my knowledge, it is not possible to re-size these forms :(

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
