Is there an easy way to create 2 files from 1 existing file

I currently have 1 existing schedule wth roughly 4200 lines fully linked. Is
there an easy way to break this 1 file into 2 files to allow more then 1
planner access at a single time without losing logic?
Thanks

WRCH5,
Not really, if you need to retain the links. After you determine where
you want to break the file, use a spare text field or the Notes field to
annotate the source and destination tasks for each link that will need
to be converted to an external link. However, don't use the ID for this
annotation because it will change. Instead set up your own identifier.
Then use Save As to capture a second copy of the file. Delete from each
file those tasks that will be exclusively in the other file. Finally,
use the annotated information to re-establish the links using external
dependencies.
