Is there an easy way to transform a website from frames to no fram

Hi Group,
I have a may be very general question but...I have been looking for an
answer forever and I can't really find it...so here we go....
I update a website on a daily basis and do submissions. The search engines
do not really like frames....is my understanding...Google for example...
So, is there an easy way to elimiate the frames of the site? Something like
a code that you put it...or who knows? Or I have to re-do the entire
website....so I get rid of them?
Please help me if you know something,
Sincerely,
Adriana

You will need to go page by page to remove your frame information.

If you mean you are submitting and re-submitting your site to search engines
often, my bet is that is worse for your search engine ranking than the fact that
it is frames-based.

Well there are a lot of reasons to not use frames, and having done sites that
way, I would never do a new site that way. That said, I am not so sure that
being frames based has much to do with search engine ranking.

In fact, I have a frames-based site that gets found so readily on Google that I
decided NOT to re-do without frames because I dont want to upset the applecart.

Why do you think that being frames-based works against your being found by the
search engines?

Yes, create a menu and add it to each page. I would make a backup copy
first until you grasp what you are doing.

In your old index.html or whatever, one of the pages in the framest is
your new index.html (or whatever).

Yes, create a menu and add it to each page. I would make a backup copy

The easy way to do that is make a separate page like header.htm and then insert
that as in include page on each page of your site where you want that header
with your menus.

That way, if you add new links to your menu, they will automatically show up on
all the pages.

Good suggestion.

Before you start changing anything, you may want to sit down and think
long term. After the changes, your site should be easy and simple of
maintaining long term, it should not an overhaul. And since you will be
making the changes its' easier to halos make other improvements.

Some suggestions.
1. Use a navigation scheme that aloes you to make changes in one place
or couple of places and have the changes reflected in all pages.
Examples: shared borders, include files, javascript include menu. etc.

2. Use external stylesheets, to apply formatting in many pages and make
it easy to reflect changes

3. Use dynamic content where appropriate

4.. etc.

btw, i haaven't looked at your site.
