An eraser is more a function of bitmap drawing programs like Paint and PaintShop. Visio is
a vector drawing program where a line is typically drawn from x1y1 to x2y2.
One way to simulate erasing part of a shape is to put another one on top at the
appropriate location then make that shape the same colour (fill and line) as the
background so it cannot be seen except where it blanks out the shape underneath.
