Is there any way to get a CD for the trial versions.?

I have dial-up connection and every time I try to download the trial version
it says it will take 16 hours. I try it and loose my connection every time. I
had the 2003 version of the trial and the update but the trial expired and it
won't take the product key for the update now. Any suggestions on what to do
other than go buy the full version right now?

Sometimes solutions, although very obvious, are overlooked. Did you read
anything about the OP having tried this route?

What good will talking to them do??????????? Will they be able to save it to a CD so I can install it on mine? You have me confused here. I thought a download goes right into the computer you download it to.

Try installing a download manager. There a few out there on the web.

Okay if I knew what a download manager was I might be able to figure out what I need to do. Any suggestions as to were to go get one? Then I may need some help as to how to work it. Computer wizard I am not!

Ask them to download it because it's much faster, and have them burn it to a
cd so you can install it on yours.

When you download a file to your computer, it just sits in the location you
downloaded it to until you do something with it.

I don't consider myself a slave or an educated idiot. The way I see it is
the newsgroups are where I turn to absorb every bit of knowledge I can about
the Office applications. So while I answer questions I'm also benefitting
from a wealth of information which makes me more valuable as a consultant
and an author. It pays to know the top issues, the types of questions that
are asked, the best methods to use for specific tasks, the average knowledge
level of most Office users that utilize support avenues, and the hot topics
folks want to know more about.

The majority of those who help out in the groups have similar reasons.
Granted there are those who simply don't have a life and feel they need to
respond with the first thought that enters their mind (as useless as it
might be) or respond with idle chit-chat since they have no one else to talk
to. And there are those who use the newsgroups to take out their aggression
on folks they can't see, but hey, that's what makes the groups diverse. ;-)

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email cannot be acknowledged.
