Is there any Word for Mac alternative that does this?

I want to see a page in page view, like in Word, with the background
sort of a light blue gray. But instead of the page being white, I want
the blue that comes when you highlight a section and keep the text
black. Strange, I know. But this works with my eyes. I can't configure
this in Word, but I was wondering if there were any other software
programs out that that would allow this, in a page view. Don't really
want the whole screen to go high-light blue.

Nick,

I'm a bit confused about exactly what you are trying to achieve, so here
are some suggestions and I hope one might be the one that accomplishes
what you want.

You can format the background of the page using the Format menu and
choosing Background. Click the More Colors button and you can choose any
color you like. Doing this does not affect the text color.

Another thing you can do is visit Word > Preferences > View. In the Show
section try changing the setting for Show > Background colors and images
in Print Layout View. Checked means colors and images will appear in
Print Layout View.

Another thing to try is Word > Preferences > General. Try the setting
Blue Background, White Text. This does change the text on the screen to
white, but text will still print black and the page will not be printed
blue.

You can change the highlight color in the System Preferences >
Appearance tab > Highlight.

Excellent. Thanks. Got some bad info from someone. Should have figured
this out on my own. Thanks.
