G'day "Kelly" <
[email protected]>,
I go way back to very old school here.
1: Manually adjust real and virtual page sizes
grab an a4 and, holding it up against the width of the page displayed
in Print Layout, adjust your view settings till virtual and real pages
match in size.
2: Have a stab
Use a table with invisible borders to hard set the positions of your
key text fields
3: Test
Provide some dummy data for the cheque (sorry, Aussie over here
)
and print it on A4. Hold this up to the light with the cheque behind
it to see how close you are
4. Adjust
Fiddle your table cells to get your positioning right, regressing to
the previous step until it is right.
5. Stick a cheque in your printer, print 1 and pray. Chances are you
will need to adjust the start before of the first line
6: Then, to get the second etc cheque to line up (assuming continous
feed / prestamped pages) you need to adjust the space after the last
printed line. If they are single cheques, just use a page break to get
the next one.
