is this a bug?

Open a page.

Start with automatic numbering and type "1." so that you are to type side to
it.

Then copy a sentence from a web page and paste it to at the number 1 just
created.

Now, ON pastes the sentence and puts the number down!!

Then I have to number the pasted sentence again.

Why does this happen? Why On cant simply paste the sentece to the right side
of the "1."????

I suppose you are talking about 2007. If you don't like this behavior
(it sounds strange to me as well), go on connect.microsoft.com and
submit feedback on it.

I've noticed this too. It seems that ON is inserting the pasted text
ABOVE the current paragraph. I just got to where I past THEN turn on the
numbering.

"got to" is poor english for getting in the habit of doing something.

I left the e off of "paste"

Basically, I just paste from the clipboard before I turn on the automatic
numbering.
