I purchased a copy of Office 2000 Professional and Frontpage 2000 from the
ECPI library when I was a student there a few years ago. The laptop on which
this software was installed has been wiped and sold. I now wish to sell the
software, but have a few concerns about the legality of doing so. Neither
software is an academic version, so I believe the discount came from ECPI
itself. Both of the CD cases say "Unlicenced Software - Illegal without
separate licence from Microsoft". The Office CD case has a white COA label
on the front. The Frontpage case has no such label. Also, the Frontpage CD
insert says "Not for Retail or OEM distribution". Both of the CD cases have
an orange Product Key sticker on the back. Is the Product Key the same as
the licence? If so, is that all I need to legally sell this software?
I have already looked over the Microsoft How-To-Tell site, but found it to
be confusing.
