Is this newsgroup mainly for the "advanced" people?

Inquiring Minds

I'm sorry Jeff, but I didn't post this inquiry just to be instulted. If
anything I posted this request to see if I can be assisted by those who are
more experienced and knowledgable of the abilities of the application itself.
I didn't know that this newsgroup was only for those who are well versed in
coding or design of a database. Because if that were the case then everyone
here wouldn't have the need to post as everyone here should be smart enough,
as yourself, to figure it out on their own and you wouldn't have to reply to
those of us who are not as experienced. I will make sure that I NEVER use
this Newsgroup again as it sounds it is only for those who are "SMART" and
more "ADVANCED"

Thank you.

You were not insulted. Jeff has offered a lot of good advice in these
groups, to experienced and beginning Access users alike. He was just
pointing out, as a responsible adviser should, that Access may not be the
best tool for your particular job. There is a rather steep learning curve
with Access. If you are a beginner, you will probably need to spend most of
the next several weeks (at least) learning the basics of the program and
building a database that does what you need. You write that "Basically we
are entering Company budgets ...", but there are a lot of details behind
that general statement, each of which would need to be resolved.
If you are determined to use Access for your project (perhaps you have other
projects in mind, and would like to start with this one), you will need to
provide specific details of the real-world situation you are trying to
organize.
