Is Word 2007 Normal.dotm profile specific?

I recently deployed Office 2007 Professional Plus to 500+ users and have
discovered a couple of issues I would like to resolve to the users. What I
am wondering is when someone makes a normal.dotm does any information
specific to the profile that made it get attached to the document?

Could I make a new one with all the fixes and do a script to mass copy it
all user/default user profiles without issue?

The Normal template was designed to be individual to users and not a shared
file. If you do copy one to distribute there shouldn't be anything related
to the profile. I say "shouldn't" because by default it doesn't. However if
you added, say, a Building Block to Normal.dotm that contains content
specific to a user, or added content in the header/footer, etc then it
would.

Nah this is a base configuration pretty much the only thing I've changed is
the default font. I'm specifically trying to get two options the paragraph
spacing and review reset. Just wanted to make sure I'm copying something
from my profile over to multiple pc's

Thanks.

Hello Cameron,

You can deploy a customized Normal.dotm to users' profiles. However, as
Beth mentioned, users can modify their Normal.dotm unless you make some
restrictions to the normal.dotm.

If you have any questions, please let us know.
