ISAM

Tom

Just updated a database from Access 97 to Access 2003. I am trying to
generate a data table (in Fox) and send it to another computer. I get an
error message telling me

Can not find an installable ISAM. Haven't run into this before, what is it
telling me and how do I correct it???

Thanx

ISAM = Indexed Sequential Access Method. It's a method of storing database
files. What it's telling you is you don't have a complete installation,
because the "driver" that presumably creates your FoxPro file is missing.

Pull out your CDs and install your drivers, or perhaps download some MDAC
patches.

Have re installed the program using full install. Still not working. Tried
to re link tables but there is nothing for Fox.
Thoughts?

I think this KB article explains the matter and tells you what to do:

You cannot connect directly to FoxPro databases in Access 2003
