ISS, Linux and Windows

O

Orlando Gondar

Can I create something like my Hosting Company on my "Local Host" ( ISS )

The hosting company uses Linux, so can I install Linux on ISS ?

And wich version is better for ISS and where to get it, because I had seen a
lot
of stuff about Linux or related to LInux, all I want is to simulate my
hosting company
here on my pc ( LocalHost - ISS - Windows XP Pro )

Thanks

Linux is a Operating Systems, you would have to replace Windows, and all of your applications,
drivers, etc.

Now most Linux host run the Apache Web Server, which you can do a search for, as there is a version
for Windows, as well a version of PHP, CGI-Perl that can be use with Windows IIS.

Yes I have the links for Apache and PHP, but I dont know if PHP is free.
Or maybe it is, I just dont remember at this moment, but I went several
places.

I had Perl Installed, but I removed because was affecting my Visual C++
Studio.
