Issue Deleting a Contact

C

Chris Cairns

I am running Outlook 2003 and Exchange Server 2003. When I create a new
message and begin to add the user's name it pulls up an auto-complete, but
it's the correct name but wrong email address. I noticed that I had
several contact records for that person so I deleted all of them and create
a new correct contact record. The problem still exists. Whenever I start
to address an email to this person it pulls up the name but with the wrong
address.

I have tried searching my contact records for the invalid address and it
pulls up nothing. It seems like the auto correct has a mind of it's own.
How do I remedy this problem. Also is it possible to manage the auto
correct so I can place priority on certain addresses so it does not get the
wrong one if there is more than one address?

When you see that name pop up on the autocomplete list, select it, then
press Delete.
