Issue: Opening link to a Public Folder from Internet Explorer using Outlook 2007

We have a link on our intranet (hosted by SharePoint 2003) that opens
Outlook and displays a Public Folder Calendar (outlook://Public
Folders/All Public Folders/Offices/Conference Rooms/266). PCs with
Office 2003 will open Outlook and display the public folder, as
expected. PCs with Office 2007 will not. These systems will not open
Outlook, but will try to open the url in IE, and results in the error
"This webpage cannot be displayed".

We have searched but have not found any results. Does anyone have any
ideas?
