Hi,

i have created a project plan. now when i try to save it on server it gives
me message

"Enterprise standard calendar needed.

Enterprise standard calendar are required to:

Build a team for non-enterprise project
Save a non-enterprise project into the server.
Import resources to the enterprise.

This may result in changes to schedules date. Do you want to continue? "

and if i Press Yes then it changes Duration, Start, Finish date of many tasks.

i have tried it but unable to save my own project plan without any change.

can anyone tell me that wt is the issue. and wts wrong going on?

The default settings in Project Server 2007 only allow project managers to
use enterprise calendars in their projects. When you bring a non-enterprise
project into the Project Server system, the non-enterprise project uses a
non-enterprise version of the Standard calendar, and so the system needs to
replace your non-enterprise Standard calendar with the enterprise Standard
calendar. If the Standard calendar in your project does not include company
holidays, and the enterprise Standard calendar includes holidays, then
obviously your schedule will change. Hope this helps.

Hi!

If you really, really need to keep the local base calendar in your
enterprise project as well (and therefore the plan not to be modified), you
may change the standard behaviour by going to Server Settings - Additional
Server Setting -> check box "allow projects to use local base calendars".

HI Dale ,

Thank You for your reply. now let me explain it bit more.

i am saving project plan using Admin login. and i do not want my dates to
be changed at any cost. is there any easy way to keep it unchanged?

i have checked the box in Server Configuration "allow projects to use local
base calendars" . but still i am getting same msg and it changes dates in my
plan. so wts wrong this time?

The dates are shifting in the project because the schedule shown on the
enterprise Standard calendar is different from the schedule shown on the
local Standard calendar. Have you actually compared these two calendars to
look for the differences between them? You need to synchronize the schedule
shown between the two calendars, and then you should be fine. Hope this
helps.
