Issue with adding resources to the global resource pool from AD

We are getting the following error when trying to add resources to the global
resource pool from Project Pro.

"Cannot keep resources out for editing.

Although you have permissions to add resources, you do not have permissions
to keep all of them checked out for editing. Contact your server
administrator to get permissions to Edit Resource Data, so that you can check
out the resources that you just added."

The person adding these resources is an administrator on Project Server.

We were able to identify the problem with the assistance of Microsoft. The
database ended up getting corrupted when the customer tried to add users to
the Enterprise Resource pool from an Active Directory group. This particular
group had approx. 2700 users assigned and the max suggested group size for
Windows Server 2003 is 1500 and previous releases of Windows Server is 1000.
We were unable to fix the corrupted db, so a new database was created and we
used the SiteEdit tool to associate Project Server with the new database. We
were lucky that this instance was a prototype, so the customer was less
concerned about the project data. I do recommend the importance of having a
disaster recovery plan that references regularly scheduled backup and restore
procedures.

I also recommend that when you find yourself in this scenario, that before
you run the SiteEdit tool, make sure that the ProjectServerUser and
ProjectUser users in sql are assigned the the ProjectServerUserRole and
ProjectUserRole respectfully.
