Issue with Ligatures and Kerning

S

Whenever I enable ligatures in a document to take advantage of an opentype font featuring them, the kerning for that font seems to disappear from the document, and everything printed from it.

This happens even when ligatures are enabled in a font which doesn't support them; the text simply becomes unkerned, despite the fact that the kerning checkbox is ticked.

This strikes me as a pretty serious problem, as the kind of people most likely to use the new (and in theory very welcome) ligatures support will not wish to sacrifice kerning in order to do so. I know I certainly don't!

Hi shadynookster,
This is a known issue, and one we hope to address in a future release. Right
now, as you¹re seeing, ligatures override kerning

Thanks,

Curt
