Issue With Office 2003 standard

I purchased 5 Volume licenses and a Media kit of Office 2003 standard. I
copied the entire cd to a share on a server. I then created a mst file with
the Product Key. Then i created a GPO to push out the software by selecting
the std11.msi file and mst file. Is this the correct way to push out
software or is there a better way? Also i want to patch the std11.msi file
and i downloaded the msp files and i ran this command;
msiexec.exe /p C:\office\KB828041\mso-FullFile-GLB.msp /a
\\server\gpo$\Office2003VolumeLicensing\STD11.MSI /qb /lv* c:\patch1.log

when i press enter after the command i get an error stating "You have not
entered a valid Product Key. Please check the number bla bla bla."

Any Suggestions

Hi Dan,

Rather than copy the Office CD to the server, install it using
Setup /A to create an Office Admin Distribution Point.

You'll find additional information and tools for modifying
via an MST or patching with MSP files as well as procedures
for deploying via GPO in the Office Resource Kit
