Issue with Outlook 2003 Cached Directory Mode

Ted S

When I enable the cached directory mode on Outlook 2003 using an existing
email account on our exchange 2000 server, it doesn't synchronize the mail
but moves it to the local .ost file. The mail ends up locally but disappears
from the exchange server. What am I doing wrong?

THANKS!!

What do you have selected for the delivery location? (Tools>E-mail
Accounts>Next. Look at the bottom left.)

I left it as the default...Personal Folders

That's why, then, that the mesasges are being removed from the Exchange
server. By specifying the Personal Folders as the delivery location, you're
instructing Outlook to remove the messags from the server and place them in
the Personal Folders file. If you want the messages to stay on the server,
select your Exchange mailbox as the delivery location.
