Issue with simple lookup query with form

I have an access 2003 database for which I have created a very simple lookup
query. I use a form to call the query and I use the "Like [INPUTFieldName]"
criteria. So when someone clicks the button on this form it prompts them to
type in some text and the query searches for relevant results. This has
been working fine but when multiple people started opening this database and
using the lookup the query stops working normally. It starts prompting
twice for the text input. You type in the text once and the input box goes
away, but then comes back in a few seconds and requires you to enter the
text again. It always works the second time.

Any help on this is appreciated.
