Issue with the word 98 for Ms=ac

Hi,

I have word 98 for Mac Using it On Mac 34G Which has
os 9.2 When I have A document in word and under the menu
edit and use copy the computer stops and freezes and
gives the error message that it has unexpectedly quit
because error 11 occured and save your documents else
where and proceed . So what should i do to get this issue
resolved and please give me some instructions to get this
is issue resolved , And the support website is not giving
me the mac support in my computer ,it does not give me
all the options as the other computer gets .

Hi Henry,

I suspect you need to assign more Preferred memory to Word. Here's the
procedure:

Navigate to the Word application in the Finder, select it and Get Info
(Command i). Go to the Memory pane and try upping Word's Preferred memory
in increments of 5000K (leave Minimum memory alone). We usually recommend a
Preferred memory setting of 48000K in Word 2001 but you may not need that
much in Word 98. Be sure Virtual Memory is turned on in Control
Panels> Memory.

Also, have you checked the Mactopia.com download page for all the
recommended Office 98 updaters (at least the Combined Updater and the
Security updaters)? If not, you need to do so. Download them from the
following site and once installed, rebuild your desktop.
