Hello,
I'm attempting to install the FE of a split db on a user computer in my
company's network. The BE and master FE are housed on our company server.
I've already installed the FE on two computers with no issue. I copied the
FE onto the local drive of the computer, double clicked the FE while holding
shift in order to access the database window, used the linked table manager
to make sure the tables were linked properly and set up the security
workgroup. On the problem computer I used the shift key but the db opened as
If I hadn't. I closed the db and attempted it again and that time it
wouldn't open at all. I started over and still no dice. All of our
computers are set up pretty much the same and all of them run Access 2003, so
I can't figure out why this is happening on this particular one. Is there
any other way to access the db window other than shift? Any help on this
would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
Heather
