Issues Loading & Configuring Project Server thru VPN

I have a client who wants to use a third party vendor to host an application
server w/ Project Server 2003 and a SQL database server......accessing
through VPN. Are you aware of any known issues configuring project server in
this environment?

Two possible issues spring to mind:

First, if the hosting company is not experienced with Project Server, the
installation can be problematic and the service level disappointing. Scaling
and architecture also could be inadequate.

Second, schedulers connecting via a VPN to the host will experience very
long wait times to open and save their projects if they are not using
Terminal Services. If the hosting company is not recommending Terminal
Services, then I would suspect they are not experienced -- see the first
issue above.

Both would go faster at the host location, but practically speaking, the
configuration would be done remotely, and it would not be too slow. The main
concern is for everyday Project Pro users, who will grind their teeth waiting
for opens and saves.
