Has anyone successfully installed Office 2007 on x64 Server 2003? There are
a lot of default settings that don't apply properly on this platform. I
don't think it's an x64 issue because XP x64 doesn't have a problem. Server
2003 x86 is fine as well.
We can probably work around most of the issues with a customization MSP but
we really shouldn't have to force the options to be enabled. Plus some
options AREN'T in the customization wizard (or GPO).
The specific differences that I have noticed are pretty much all of the
autocorrect functions are disabled by default.
I ran the install using the same install and customization on clean machines
not in a domain and only Windows Server 2003 x64 showed this issue. I'm
hesitant to deploy at this point as I don't know if there are other features
that are disabled that we haven't discovered yet.
