Issues PRINTING LARGE Excel sheets (2007 and 2008)

I have this very bizarre issue with printing a large (60"x96") excel sheet. It is full of data -79 rows by KI columns - and the type just flat out disappears. I have tried this on both a PC (Windows XP with Office 2007) and OSX (10.5.5 with Office 2008) The printer is an HP designjet 5500ps - although if I point it at another printer the same stuff happens.

Help please. I need to get this thing printed for a bunch of students.

The problem could be anywhere along the printing chain from Excel, the OS,
the printer driver, and/or the printer.

Let's start with Excel. In the simple case for me where I fill A1:KI79 with
values and then print, I get the expected results (lots of paper with values
on it). If you can print in the simple case, then there has to be something
with your content that's messing you up.

Would you be willing to send me a copy of the workbook?
