Issues Publishing New Projects with SSL Enabled

Hi

I have enabled SSL on our Project 2003 server (SP2a) and communication via
SSL to the Project Web Access client works fine. However when i create a new
project in Project Professional 2003 and then save it for the first time the
project spooler shows an error (system error 0x80004005) and the project
server show the following error in the Application log

However if i use the retry option in the Project Spooler the project then
publishes to the project server. I can now open, edit and close this project
with no additional errors in the spooler.

I have checked the server certificate and it is valid.

If i publish using http connection then i see no errors.

Does anyone have any ideas whats causing this and how i can resolve this?
