Issues/Risk link on Home page broken

Hello

I'm a bit new to EPM but so far this is the issue we're having. We changed
the "Status" field of our Sharepoint template in Risks & Issues and weren't
getting any notifications to the home page of PWA. I found out later that
changing the Status selections for Issues/Risks may alter the functionality
between Sharepoint and PWA. So I changed the Status selections back to its
original - Active, Postponed, Closed. They now show up on PWA home page.

Problem is, when I click on the Issues/Risks link on the home page I get an
error that says page cannot be found. I haven't replaced my Sharepoint
template yet that includes the fixed Status selections (wondering if that
will work for all new sites). But does this mean all the existing sites will
not work - even if you change the status to its original selections?

Hi crizco,

you will also need to change the value of the exisiting workspaces and need
to update each risk / issue to have the new ( original ) value ( (1) Active,
(2) Postponed, (3) closed).

Try to rectify this in one workspace where you experience the error, and see
if this resolves your issue.

Let me know if it worked

Hi Marc. Thanks for getting back to me

I tested existing workspaces but changing the status in the settings for
issues/risks first, then I changed the existing issue/risk that were created.
I refreshed everything and it still didn't take the home link to the risk or
issue. I also recently replaced the template with the corrected values of (1)
Active (2) Postponed (3) Closed. I created a new issue/risk and the home page
link is still broken. Not sure what to try next. Seems like the old
workspaces and now the new corrected ones still behave the same.

Hi crizco,

You should still have the original Project Workspace Template. Can you
please use this one and try to create a Risk and let me know if you sitll
have the same problem.

Also when you assign a risk / issue to a user, does this user receive an
email notification?
thanks

Hi Marc

I created a project with the original MS template and the Issues/Risks did
work. We had to reconstruct the entire template again from that original one
(which is why I'm late replying) and this time I didn't touch the Status
fields. We reloaded it today and It all behaves as normal now. Seems like
changing the Status fields really messed up the logic for some reason but I
can see that now since pages refer to the 3 selections (Active, Postponed,
Closed).

Thanks so much for your help!! One more small question - is there an area in
PWA that lists existing Sharepoint sites with no projects (as in the projects
were deleted but not the WSS site)? If you don't write down the URL, you
can't find the existing Sharepoint sites in the Manage Sharepoint Sites area.

Hi crizco,

I am happy that you managed to get it working. Great job.
Well, its a very good question. Unfortunatly Project Server does not give
you this list of exisiting workspaces from deleted projects. You will be able
to find any team site created in the central administration page of WSS.

Hope this helps
