I tried opening a HTML (right click and choose Open with Word option) for
editing in MS Word 2003. The HTML file had reference to images. The original
HTML did not have any height or width set for the image (i.e. <img
src="imagename.jsp">)
The image used by the HTML is not available in the local environment. Hence
while opening the HTML a 'x' mark was indicated in the place of the image (as
expected). But after opening the HTML document in WORD, the img src tag was
altered and WORD automatically added the height and width (set to 32 pixel).
Is there some setting that would stop Word changing the img src tag
attributes for broken images
