Issues with 2003 VBA Security

S

Sandy

Just wondering what command code is being used now in 2003
to open reports, etc. rather than Docmd? It appears that
2003 views Docmd as possibly malicious and since my
database is not signed by a trusted source it is
preventing users from using Sandbox mode and I am having
to turn security to Microsoft Access to low. I would very
much like to run Medium security with Sandbox mode enabled
but do not know where to begin converting my Docmd
executions...

If you know of a resource for 2003 VBA I would really
appreciate the referral.

Your help is much appreciated.

Hi, Sandy.

Attempting to convert the DoCmd to something else won't do much good,
because just about every function or property that creates, changes or
removes an Access object or file external to Access, or communicates with an
object outside of Access will be blocked while the Jet Expression Service is
configured to run in Sandbox mode. Digital Certificates will probably be
the best solution if you'd like to set the security level any higher than
"low." For a complete list of the Access and VBA functions and properties
that are blocked, see this Web page:

For more information on the macro security feature, see this Web page:
