Product Model: CanoScan LiDE 50
INQUIRY: We are using an LIDE-50 at our office to scan and
e-mail legal papers from our site to the follow-up
investigators. It has worked flawlessly until our IT
folks installed Outlook 2003 on the computers.
Since then, the one-button e-mail option no longer
functions properly. It appears that the scanner fails to
recognize Outlook 2003 as a valid program. It won't offer
the e-mail option of O 2003. At that point it only offers
Outlook Express, which we don't have. We had to revert to
Outlook 2000 for the scanner (or driver or program) to
function. Once that was done, the scanner again offers O
Express or O 2000 as the options. Is this a known issue?
Is there a work-around? We have followed all of Canon's
suggestions to no avail. Anyone???
