Hello,
We've moved from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003.
Our custom contact form in the public folder "All contacts" is giving us a
hard time:
The folder is set to use the custom Form when posting to this folder.
All users can open existing items with the correct form
When trying to post new items into the folder they get an error message
stating
"an object could not be found".
There are no other objects created in the code sp it seems to be the form that
Outlook can't find. But it finds it for existing items...
I found these tips but they didn't bring us closer to the solution:
Tip1:
Outlook 2003 includes a new setting -- turned off by default -- to allow
forms in shared mailboxes to run script. You can change the setting by
choosing Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options and checking the box for
Allow script in shared folders. You'll see that there is also an option for
Allow script in public folders. The corresponding registry values are in the
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security key --
SharedFolderScript and PublicFolderScript, both DWORD values.
-Is restarting Outlook enough or do I need to restart Windows?
Tip2:
Make sure the "Send form definition with item" box on the (Properties) tab
of the form is *not* checked.
-It's not checked!
Tip3:
Users need to have read/write access to the folder that Outlook uses to
store the forms cache, which should be C:\Documents and
Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\FORMS.
-They are local administrators, so surely this is not a problem?
Any tip would be appreciated!
Best regards,
kk
