Both my husband & I are experiencing the same problems with Outlook 2007 &
Outlook Connector and our Live Hotmail accounts (paid versions). We are both
running the same versions of Outlook, Outlook Connector and Vista. Outlook
frequently hangs, i.e., stops responding. To close it we have to use the
control-alt-delete business. In the task manager it shows Outlook as
responding when it is not. After it's closed, we reopen and things seem to
be working fine again. It appears that this happens when a file is being
downloaded from the Connector.
Does anyone have any insight into this problem? It's very annoying,
especially when it hangs in the middle of writing an outgoing message that is
then not saved as a draft and has to be rewritten.
I am also experiencing a second issue. Although all my mail appears to be
on the MSN server, only a portion of it appears in my Outlook folder. It
also appears that the cutoff is any messages older than "Two Weeks Ago".
I've noticed that as time passes, messages that were in Outlook disappear as
they move into the "Older" category. I have checked to see if I have any
filters in place that would cause this, but everything seems OK on that
front. Anyone have any ideas on this one?
