Issues with posting questions in the forum

Alejandro

Hello,

I've been trying for days to post a question in the forum website (under MS
Access - programming) and although I don't get any error messages the post
doesn't show up, and of course I don't get any replies. Is there a problem
with the posting process?

Thanks,

Alejandro.

I see a post from you today, and several (with answers) from the past week
or so. Could it be that you are just having difficulty finding your own
posts? I understand that the email-notification function is broken at the
moment. If the Search function on the Microsoft website is not working for
you, and yuou can't find your messages just by paging through, you might try
Google Groups:

I see this one -- do you? There have in the past -- quite recently, too --
been intermittent problems with the synchronization of the newsgroups with
the web server's database. So far as I have been aware, the most recent
outbreak of that problem was fixed.

Not everyone is aware that the Microsoft website is just a web front-end on
a set of Usenet newsgroups, accessible by any newsreader program. I use
Windows Mail, and used Outlook Express before that, but there are a number
of other popular (and possibly superior) newsreaders, as well as other
web-based interfaces, including Google Groups. Sometimes Microsoft has a
problem where either posts made on the web page don't make it to the
newsgroups in a timely way, or posts made to the newsgroups don't make it to
the website, or (at worst) when posts made to the website don't seem even to
appear *there*. That's why posting and reading directly to the newsgroups
is often the most reliable thing to do.

When I went to this forum through the Micsrosoft forums link I encountered
problems like that fairly frequently. I switched to Access Monster and have
had not had those problems since, so you might want to try using the Access
Monster interface. Here's the link:
