IT Errors Out when attempting to access PWA

Kevin

I have performed a complete install of MOSS on a 2008 box. After installing
Project on a non default port, I can access the PWA site on the server but
not from any other machine on the network.

I have confiremed that I am the admin and I am signing into the server and
the workstations using the same credentials.

MOSS 2007 was installed with:
SharedServices1 (Default)
- SharePoint - 1111
- SharePoint - 2222
- SharePoint - 80

I installed project Server 2007 and created a web application and site
collection for port 7777 which uses the above SharedServices1 provider. So
the provider now shows:
SharedServices1 (Default)
- SharePoint - 1111
- SharePoint - 2222
- SharePoint - 80
- Project Server - 7777

I can still access port 80 from my workstation but none of the other sites
using the same cradentials. How do I enable 7777 to be accessed outside of
the server?

Thanks.

Hi kevin,

by default you should use Port 80 for PWA. that is what MS suggestes. Not
sure why you wouldnt obay by this.

Having said this, I would check if you have any kind of Firewall issue.
Maybe the ports need to be open up. Either way this is more an infrastructure
question that falls outside of the Project Server functionality. I would ask
your System Admin to work with you and track the port calls to see what
happens

Hope this helps

I did get it working. What I learned, probably obvious to all others, was
that if MOSS 2007 is fully installed first, you don't have to create a new
web application, site collection or service provider. Just start the project
application service and provision the PWA site.

Thanks for the help.
