If I hit the shift key while logging onto a secured
database app, I'm able to open a form from the database
window to successfully execute the form's command button
event to run a merge to word procedure, WITHOUT BEING
PROMPTED FOR A USER LOGIN AND PASSWORD again.
If I start my app from a startup form (when the database
window is not accessable), and try to run my merge to
word procedure from a form's command button, it prompts
me for the user login and password (twice) before
displaying the merged word document.
Would someone please explain the difference between
opening a form from the database window, or from opening
a form via a startup switchboard form when the database
window is not visible?
