It takes so long to open a file in Excel, or Word

Hello,

I have Office 2003 on my WinXP Pro., everytime I try to go to "Look In" in
"Open" to open a file in MS Word or MS Excel, it takes like a minute or two
just to browse a file, and another minute or so to open a folder in it, and
so on...
Can anybody knows why and how to fix it? Thanks a lot in advance.

If you open My Computer, do you have "Disconnected" drives? If so
R-click on them and select "Disconnect", that should clear up the
problem. If there are not disconnected drives then there is some other
issue, perhaps network related.
