it seems this thread went on and on in late fall - and i don't see a resolution....

if i delete anything in Entourage - it doesn't update my Outlook on the Exchange server...nor on my iPhone which makes sense since it syncs to Exchange

also, if i move it to a folder other than the inbox that is not being update in Exchange either.

there must be a setting that should be fixed but i can't figure it out...

I am having our email Exchange Hosted and it appears to me that if you
delete and email and empty the trash in Entourage that it is deleted
in Exchange (I think). I checked by going to my email account via OWA
on the web. However, if you drag an email to a folder "On My Computer"
in Entourage; and then delete it in your Inbox it is NOT deleted in
Exchange. Does that match with what you are seeing?

No, everything I do is in the Exchange portion - no folders are under "In My Computer" and deleting and emptying the trash doesn't do anything to the OWA or Exchange - and when i move something to a folder under my inbox (but still on the exchange settings) it stays in my inbox on exchange.

Control click the account name (not just the Inbox) in your folder list
and empty the cache. It will rebuild all your folders and hopefully
reestablish the link.

Well, then I lose everything that is in Entourage that is not in Exchange right?

Well, it will rebuild your Exchange folder list based on what is on the
Exchange server. It won't affect items saved "On My Computer."

Be sure to back up your Exchange "Sent Items" folder to the folders "On
My Computer". Everything else should be on the server.

I had same issue. The only resolution was to clear the cache in
Entourage. After that, all worked fine.

*** Caution: I learned the hard way that when you clear the cache,
you lose all the entries made in Entourage that did not sync. So, you
may want to view the entries by date (if that is possible) and print
out or otherwise note them before you clear the cache. Also, I
believe you can clear the calender separately from email. So, do one
before you do the other. ****

Hope this helps. Someone else may have mentioned this as I did not
read thru the entire thread.
