A few weeks ago we implemented a group policy to empty the Deleted Items
folder on closing Outlook (no warning message). Since that time several
users have described a similar problem. When they try to recover an item
using the Recover Deleted Items tool, the item shows up in the list of items
that can be recovered, but when an attempt is made to recover the item, it
never shows up in the Deleted Items folder. We are running Exchange 2003,
SP2 and cached mode Outlook 2003. When I turn off the policy and configure
the same settings manually the same users can successfully recover deleted
items. Turning it back on, they can't. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
