Hi,

I have project witch already started, but there was no plan developed for
this project. Now I desided to develop plan for this project and continue to
work. In this plan same tasks already finished (like Software Functional
Specification) but i don't know how long it was or who did it (beleave it's
happens :) But i want these task be visible in plan. How can i represent
them? Must they be 0 duaration with no resources? Or maybe i can assign
resources to them and simbolic duaration? But I want that MSProject start
calculating everything just from that moment went i publihed the plan (let's
say from Bug fixing in beta release :)

Thank's.

P.S. The problem can be discribed like this too: I used template, but i can
see that i'm somewhere in the middle of work, how to force MSProject
calculate everything just from that point in template where i want and don't
mind what was planned before and what resources was assignet to them by
template (but i whant them to be as such that everyone could see how much we
missed to plan :). Maybe someone can help me on using templates? (some links
or something...)

Hi,

For all finished tasks, put them to 100% complete.
Then you can set whatever dates, Project wi.ll no longer recalculate
When that is doen, go to Tools, tracking, update Project, to shift teh
remainig work to tomaoorow or later.
